Overview

Behavioral Health Addiction Urgent Care is a center for individuals suffering from substance use disorder and mental illness. The program assists individual seeking treatment for addiction and/or mental crisis by providing an evaluation, bed search and support from our team (residential counselors/recovery specialists, case managers, clinicians, nurses).Behavioral Health Addiction Urgent Care is an exciting, dynamic environment in which all members of the multidisciplinary team work together to ensure the best outcomes for our clients. Responsibilities

  • Renders and supervises care of clients in the urgent care
  • Assess and triage clients admitting to the Adult-Inpt Substance Abuse Continuum
  • Review internal and external referrals for the Adult-Inpt Substance Abuse Continuum & enhanced treatment services (E-ATS)
  • Monitor process and flow in the urgent care and assist admissions by answering the phone, documentation and referrals as needed.
  • Communicates, coordinates and documents all pertinent information related to client care internally and externally
  • Report to administrator on-call on all emergencies medical and psychiatric and any administrative interventions
  • Participates in all scheduled meetings, supervision, in-services and required agency\'s training.
  • Administer emergency care (ie. CPR, seizures), makes referrals to emergency rooms as needed.
  • Report to Program Director, Continuum Director and Director of Nursing.
  • Awake overnight staff must be able to remain awake and alert during the overnight shift to provide a safe and healthly environment for our clients and co-workers
 

Qualifications

  • Excellent assessment and triage skills
  • Experience in addiction and mental health required
  • Experienced with electronic health records required
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary team
  • Grade 9B: Acute Care RN: Valid RN Massachusetts license and current CPR
  • Ability to work with diverse client population
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) oral and written communication skills a plus
  • Must be able to pass a CORI background check
