    Come join a friendly and diverse  team that provides quality care! Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a relief (0-20 hrs/wk) Unit Coordinator in Fitchburg, MA.

     

    Westwinds Clubhouse is a non-clinical environment that provides a supportive place for individuals to develop friendships; pursue their job-hunting, educational, and housing goals; and establish community linkages.  All staff have generalist roles at Westwinds and are involved in all Clubhouse activities including daily groups, health and wellness programs, meal preparation, and offsite events. Westwinds Clubhouse is a community center open 8:00 am – 4:00 pm that offers individuals with a mental illness, 18 and older, hope and opportunities to achieve their full potential.  For over 45 years Westwinds Clubhouse has been a significant participant in improving the quality and enhancement of life for those who struggle with the many forms that mental illness can take.

     

    If you are looking to give back to the community and help others, this relief residential counselor position maybe the one for you. A relief unit coordinator can work 0-20 hours a week depending on the program’s need. In this flexible position, there are no set shifts, and staff are scheduled or called as needed to cover empty shifts. This gives you the opportunity to help others without the commitment

    Responsibilities

    • Acts as a contact/adviser for members, developing their action plans and recovery goals, and documenting progress notes
    • Engages and works alongside members in carrying out Clubhouse operations and responsibilities
    • Facilitates groups that are part of regular in-house programming
    • Provides advocacy for members relative to community resources and develops community linkages
    • Helps members think about long term employment goals, work history, strengths and other factors that relate to a current vocational goal
    • Offers assistance to those members in supported and independent employment positions
    •  Serves as liaison with the business community and provides advocacy for members during job development initiatives
    •  Takes on the role of staff generalist in menu planning, shopping, and meal preparation
    • Transports members to and from the Clubhouse
    • Performs other related job duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma/GED/HiSet required; Associates degree preferred with 1 year experience in the field or personal experience required.
    • Current valid US-issued driver's license for work related purposes including transporting clients and the capability of driving a ten seat passenger van
    • Basic computer knowledge required
    • Bilingual candidates are strongly urged to apply.
    • Must be able to pass a CORI background check
