    Community Healthlink has numerous employment options for qualified, interested candidates including a variety of settings and positions ranging from per diem to full-time.  Candidates who apply to this position for general consideration will have their resume reviewed.  Qualified candidates will be submitted to a program for consideration.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as a residential counselor for specified number of residents as requested by supervisor.
    • Develop, implement and document treatment needs assessments, treatment plan, and progress reviews.
    • Foster a sense of safety in the community which includes self-care skills, money management and budgeting, symptom management, relapse prevention, problem solving and conflict resolution, and other interventions as necessary.
    • Lead two or more skill development or recreational group per week as assigned.
    • Provide outreach as designated to community-based residents.
    • Attend team and case conferences, and collaborate with other providers for designated resident.
    • Prepare daily log entries, incident reports and other required paperwork to ensure the program meets the standards.
    • Transporting residents in personal car or program vehicle.
    • Maintain competencies: Human Rights, dual diagnosis, infection control, CPR, First Aid, MAP, agency and divisional policy and procedures as well.

    Qualifications

    • Grade 5: Residential Counselor I: Associates degree in Human Services or HSD/GED or Hiset plus 2 years experience.

    • Grade 6: Residential Counselor II: Bachelor's degree in social work or related mental health field or occupational therapist with Associates degree.  Will consider Bachelor's degree in non-related field with human services experience.

    • Current valid driver's license and ability to provide registered and insured automobile for work related purposes.

    • Desire to serve others required.

    • Demonstrated strong work ethic, ability to work independently, and ability to contribute to team objectives required.

    • Preference will be given to those with experience in social services and/or working with program's population.
