CHL’s Youth and Family Service Outpatient Mental Health Clinic specializes in providing care and professional services to children with serious emotional and behavioral health issues  and their families who reside throughout Worcester County. Outpatient Services include individual, family and group psychotherapy; psychiatric services; medication management and crisis and case management.   The Playroom Staff member will provide childcare services to clients of Youth and Family Services of Community Healthlink Inc. They will oversee play and activities for children of parents participating in behavioral health services at a busy outpatient clinic.  They will  work collaboratively as needed with members of the clinic staff. 



Schedule M,T,W,TH from 2-7 pm

  • Assures the safety, care, nurturing and comfort of children
  • Oversees and monitors  childcare activities and holiday celebrations
  • Assists children with physical and emotional needs
  • Helps children resolve conflicts
  • Maintains cleanliness and order of playroom for constructive play
  • Washes toys in playroom monthly in bleach solution
  • Provides information to parents and clinic staff  about childcare activities and the child's involvement and interaction
  • Maintains accurate attendance records for the playroom
  • Attends all childcare sessions as scheduled


  • Grade 5: Child Devleopment Specialist I: Minimum education required- GED/HSD or HiSet
  • Ability to work safely and effectively with at-risk children 12 and under
  • Ability to work as part of a team; ability to follow instructions and complete assignments;
  • Knowledge of effects of domestic violence on children helpful
  • Knowledge of the effects of children growing up in chemically dependent household helpful
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques helpfu
  • Certification  in CPR and first aid preferred
  • Experience in Child Care and some understanding of child development
  • Must be able to pass a CORI background check
