Overview

Beryl’s House is a 25- bed six-month residential recovery home. Beryl’s House serves women, including pregnant and postpartum women and their infants.  Priority will be given to women coming directly from a Section 35 referral source, pregnant women, women ages 18-22, and women living with co-occurring disorders.  Residents share the space in this large congregate setting.  Smoking is permitted only in the outside designated area during free time.  24-hour awake staffing is provided.  Supportive services available to clients include: substance use disorder treatment, mental health counseling, group therapy, domestic violence counseling, health education, personal development, self esteem building, parenting skills development, vocational training, life skills training and comprehensive case management.

 

The mission of Beryl’s House is to provide a safe, supportive recovery community that will promote a sense of empowerment, personal accountability and life skills essential for women and their families to stabilize and lead substance free, productive lives.  The goals of the program include assisting women to attain long term recovery; to ensure that homeless women are appropriately housed; to strengthen families through the provision of parenting skills and supports; to connect able-bodied women with full time employment; and to increase residents’ quality of life, health, well being and commitment to self care.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the clinical component of a 25 bed residential substance use disorder treatment program for women.
  • Includes assessment, treatment planning, staff training/supervision, group facilitation, crisis intervention, medication management, referrals, and all related paperwork

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Human Services related field,
  • Knowledge of addiction and twelve step recovery
  • Able to provide trauma informed care
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Must have 2 years supervisory experience 
  • Current valid US-issued drivers license and ability to provide registered, inspected and insured automobile for work related purposes, including transporting clients in your own vehicle or company vehicle 
  • Must be able to pass a CORI background check
