Overview

CHL's North County Clinical Team, is one of three programs in CHL's Developmental Disabilities Unit which provides services to adults (ages 19 and older) who have been diagnosed with a developmental disability.  Many program clients are also diagnosed with emotional, psychiatric or behavioral disorders and/or substance abuse issues.

The program provides individual, group and family counseling at clinical sites in Fitchburg and Gardner.

Responsibilities

Provides outpatient diagnostic evaluations and psychotherapeutic treatment services to adults with developmental disabilities and co-occurring behavioral health conditions in individual, family, couple, and group therapy; provides consultation to community groups and agencies in a manner which respects diversity.

  • Provides direct clinical treatment to adults with co-occurring developmental disabilities and behavioral health conditions as represented in the caseload through diagnostic evaluations and screenings, crisis/emergency assessment and intervention, treatment planning and assessment, individual, group, couple and family therapy
  • Participates in interdisciplinary diagnostic treatment and planning conferences.
  • Consults with doctors, individuals, and other social service agencies, insurance providers and hospital networks regarding clients, client services, and case management.
  • Maintains client records and administrative records according to Center policy.
  • Maintains unit productivity standard according to collective bargaining agreement.
  • Attends administrative staff meetings as required.
  • Attends in-service education, clinical supervision and professional meetings as required
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

This position is productivity bonus eligible

 

Qualifications

  • Grade 7- Clinician III - Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field. License to practice in the State of Massachusetts and/or be reimbursable for services by third party insurance.
  • Experience in the area of practice is desirable.
  • Grade 8- Clinician IV - LICSW or Licensed Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Must have a license to practice independently in behavioral health in Massachusetts, or be on a track towards independent licensure.
  • Experience in the area of practice necessary.
  • Bilingual or DBT-certified a plus
  • Must be able to pass a CORI background check
