Sagamore: This program is a six-bed program for clients who are dually diagnosed with a mental illness and a substance disorder and are in the “pre-motivational” stage of substance abuse recovery. At Sagamore, we provide a highly structured, highly staffed relapse-tolerant program to help clients move toward abstinence and recovery. Most clients who leave the program are stabilized in their addiction recovery and move into one of our other residences to stabilize their mental illness.
Working with residents to maintain the residence on a daily basis including chores, grocery shopping/carrying groceries into the kitchen, bedroom upkeep, laundry to include carrying to and from washer/dryer, yard work, and other moderate housekeeping duties.
Grade 5; Residential Counselor I - Associates degree in Human Services or High School diploma, GED or HiSet plus 2 years experience.
Grade 6: Residential Counselor II - Bachelor's degree in a mental health field (preferred) or Occupational Therapist with Associates degree. Coursework in psychology, sociology, social work or related field a plus.
Previous experience working with clients in human services, mental illness or dual diagnosis.
Proven ability to work within a team setting and to act as a self-starter.
Must be committed to providing quality care.
Must have a current valid US-issued driver's license and ability to provide registered, inspected and insured automobile for work related purposes, including transporting clients in your own vehicle and company van.
