The Transitional Support Services, TSS Program, is a CHL program providing services within the agency’s acute substance abuse services continuum. As a post Detox program, the program is designed to work with men and women on their goals for recovery while preparing them for their next step in treatment. Clients in the program are pursuing, accepted or waiting for further placement and are expected to stay no longer than 90 days. A portion of our clients are referred to the program from section 35 treatment providers.

The TSS unit will have a structured day program that provides an environment to engage in recovery and develop recovery tools. Patients participate in psycho-educational groups and receive case management services.


  • Transport clients to treatment related services such as residential program interviews, court, medical appointments etc. throughout the state.
  • Transport client and their belongings safely to their residential program placement throughout the state.
  • Conduct daily checks of van to maintain cleanliness of vehicle and inspect exterior for damage
  • Work with Program Director to schedule service for van.
  • Provide transportation for any additional program supplies and emergency needs.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, team meetings, and individual supervision.
  • Attend trainings as scheduled
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the program manager.


  • High School Diploma/HiSet/GED required
  • Current valid US-issued driver's licence for work related purposes including transporting clients in a company vehicle
  • Ability to collaborate with case managers around upcoming appointments.
  • Demonstrates appropriate and respectful interactions with clients, co-workers and other professionals
  • Demonstrate an understanding of de-escalation skills needed to support clients in their recovery process.
  • Must be able to pass a CORI background check
