Come join a friendly and diverse clinical team that provides quality care! Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Operations Manager in Worcester, MA.


PASSages is an intensive, short-term (2-4 week), inpatient treatment program for men and women 18 and older who suffer from substance use disorders but do not require detox. The program provides individual counseling sessions and comprehensive case management services to each client along with at least seven treatment groups per day, run by all team members. PASSages is an exciting, dynamic environment in which all members of the multidisciplinary team work together to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.   • Ability to supervise program staff in a culturally competent manner and to ensure staff maintains required competencies.
  • Oversight of milieu including addressing client concerns as they arise and supervising a multidisciplinary team of residential counselors and case managers, and (as needed) clinicians, nurses and administrative assistant.
  • Effective communication with consumers, peers and other professionals that is sensitive to the racial/ethnic/cultural/class backgrounds.
  • Operate program in an efficient and effective manner, ensuring compliance with DPH regulatory requirements.


  • Oversees day to day operation of the program. Interviews and recommends residential counselors for hire. Participates in Management Team meeting to develop and implement goals and objectives for PASSages and the larger addiction continuum. Co-facilitates staff meetings.
  • Provides administrative supervision to residential counselors. Assigns work responsibilities to residential counselors and directly monitors them to assure proper completion of work responsibilities.
  • Provides orientation for new residential counselors, and other staff as assigned, and designs/implements staff training schedules.
  • Responsible for monitoring the physical plant status, and arranging for repairs as needed.
  • Purchases or arranges purchases of items needed by program, in conjunction with administrative assistant. Monitors electronic bed board to make sure insurances and other data are correct, and that admissions and discharges are recorded accurately on the board.
  • Attends multidisciplinary treatment team meeting when permitted by schedule. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with contracting agencies, community organizations and consumers.
  • Completes all paperwork as assigned.
  • Responsible for designing and implementing staff work schedule to provide required coverage.
  • Sets up human rights, infection control, CPR, first aid and restraint training. Informs staff of agency and divisional policy and procedures as well as other required competencies.
  • Responsible for entering client data into EIM/ESM system and other data as assigned. 
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned by the Program Director


  • HSD/HiSet/GED required, Associate's degree in the human services field preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in the addictions field required.
  • One years supervisory experience required
  • Demonstrated experience in working with adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with consumers, peers and the professionals in a manner that is sensitive to their racial/ethnic/cultural/class backgrounds.
  • Must be able to pass a CORI background check
