MYR - Motivating Youth Recovery: is a 20-bed acute detoxification and stabilization program (up to 30 days) for adolescents 13-17.


The program provides medically monitored detoxification, comprehensive assessment and diagnosis, treatment, and aftercare planning and referral. MYR is a family-centered, strengths-based model that will introduce and engage the adolescent and family members to recovery.


MYR, through its existing connections to community services for adolescents statewide, will develop comprehensive ongoing treatment planning that will provide continued support and treatment for the adolescent and family upon returning to their community.


The program is licensed by The Massachusetts' Department of Public Health, Bureau of Substance Abuse Services.  A master level clinical director, nurses, master level clinicians, case managers and residential counselors staff the program. 


The program has 24-hour access to consulting physicians and 2 part-time psychiatrists.


  • Responsible for ensuring that after care needs of residents are met through provision of appropriate referrals for community based services including substance abuse, mental health, medical, legal, rehabilitative social  & vocational services , advocacy and coordination of care including ongoing coordination with Central Intake Coordinator around  facilitation of after care service plans.
  • Conduct admissions interviews and initial assessments
  • Assists residents to resolve outstanding legal issues, ensures documentation, information, transportation and staff is coordinated for client and her family.
  • Attend teams and case conferences, and collaborate with other providers for designated residents.
  • Provide outreach as designated to community-based residents.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned by supervisor.


  • Grade 6: Case Manager II: Bachelor's degree in social work or related substance abuse field; will consider Associate's degree and relevant experience.
  • Preference will be given to those with experience in social services and/or working with program's population.
  • All bilingual candidate are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Must be able to pass a CORI (Criminal Offender Background Check)  and a DCF/CPS (Department of Families Adam Walsh/Child Protective Services background check)
