    Come join a friendly and diverse clinical team that provides quality care! Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a full-time (40 hrs/wk) Crisis Specialist at our Leominster site.


    The Communications and Triage Department serves the local communities of the Leominster and Worcester area, providing mental health crisis intervention. Communications works directly with those in need from their first call to Community Healthlink’s Emergency Services Program through the entire process and in some cases the days following.


    This position is fast paced and unpredictable and offers candidates an opportunity to make a difference every day by helping manage crises and assisting people.


    Triage is an exciting and fast paced program that is essential in supporting the Emergency Service program.  A crisis support worker is present through the entire intervention process from providing initial crisis triage and de-escalation with clients up to and including finding placement and coordinating authorization with insurance companies.

    Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Provide coordination of all telecommunications for the Emergency Services in providing telephonic support to individuals in crisis and assess the need for clinical intervention in a high volume call center.
    • Provide administrative support to clinicians engaged in short term crisis intervention.
    • Appropriately prioritize active cases, assessing the potential risk to the clinician, coordinate internal and external resources.
    • Assist clinicians in the office with client services, triage, and screening.
    • Provide referrals and/or placement to multiple levels of care



    • Grade 6: Crisis Specialist: Bachelor’s degree required, in the field of psychology or human services preferred
    • Treatment experience with individuals in a mental health setting preferred
    • Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask handling multiple pieces of data.
    • Strong telephone skills required
    • Experience in providing treatment to those in crisis and abusing substances is highly desired
    • All bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
