    Come join a friendly and diverse clinical team that provides quality care! Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) IT Desktop Support in Worcester, MA.

     

     

    Community Healthlink's IS department supports approximately 1,200 staff in multiple locations. This position will work within a team environment to provide data entry support for several Northern Worcester County based programs from a centralized location.

    Responsibilities

    •  Support CHL staff (end users) with issues related to software, hardware or other IT realms via phone, tickets, and emails or in person.
    • Install, upgrade, troubleshoot and configure system software/applications.
    • Install, upgrade, troubleshoot and configure hardware systems such as desktop computers or Ethernet connections and network switches.
    • Manage, monitor, maintain and provide the levels of IS support, services, systems (including hardware or software) as set forth by CHL.  Review, report and improve the quality of support, services and systems provided by MIS/IT.     

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma/HiSet/GED
    • Formal computer training and any certifications are a plus
    • Experience working in a networked environment
    • 3 years experience preferred
    • Strong communications skills are a must, including technical writing, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, diverse environment.
    • Solid all-around technical abilities, including general hardware, software, OS and other software/hardware technologies.  Some key technology areas include Microsoft software suites (Office, Windows 7), desktop computer hardware debugging/diagnosing, computer virus cleaning and desktop imaging (true image).  Basic networking skills, connecting Ethernet cables and simple switches.  Installing printers (local and network), finding drivers for devices or replacing components in a laptop/desktop computer.
    • Ability and drive to learn new technologies and make recommendations for improvements in the department.
    • Knowledge and experience, in the health care or behavioral health care fields in a plus.
    • Strong organizational skills, using tools such as task/ticket tracking systems and the ability to stay on top of and track your own tasks over time.  Able to assess, set priorities and prioritize tasks dynamically as needed.   Able to follow the policies and procedures, including change control as defined by CHL and MIS
    • Must be a self-starter, able to work independently moving between tasks or tickets as necessary.
    • Must be able to work M-F 8a-5p (in the Worcester/Leominster MA area), with occasional changes in hours for special projects or issues.
    • Some travel will be required, mostly in the Worcester area, with travel to Leominster or Auburn areas.
    • Must be able to pass a CORI background check
