    Come join a friendly and diverse clinical team that provides quality care! Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for per diem Nursing Staff (0-20 hrs/wk) to work in 2 of our programs Transitional Support Services & PASSages in Worcester.


    The Transitional Support Services (TSS), is an inpatient treatment program for men and women 18 and older with substance abuse disorders. The program is designed to work with clients on their goals for recovery while preparing them for their next step in treatment. Clients in the program can stay up to 90 days while they are pursuing, accepted or waiting for further placement to a halfway house. The program provides individual case management along with 6 treatment groups per day, run by all team members. TSS is an exciting, dynamic environment in which all members of the team work together to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.


    PASSages is an intensive, short-term (2-4 week), inpatient treatment program for men and women 18 and older who suffer from substance use disorders but do not require detox. The program provides individual counseling sessions and comprehensive case management services to each client along with at least seven treatment groups per day, run by all team members. PASSages is an exciting, dynamic environment in which all members of the multidisciplinary team work together to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.

    RN will work on TSS and PASSages adult inpatient substance abuse units.

    • Renders and supervises care of patient on the unit. Ensures safety of all clients on the unit.
    • Monitors psychiatric medication in consultation with the psychiatrist. 
    • Administers medication as prescribed by physician and other medication issues such as medication information and teaching.
    • Participates in the evaluation of client's condition and progress with other team members.
    • Observe and assess patients for medical clinical signs and symptoms of withdrawal and follows prescribed course of treatment, with notification to the Medical Director as needed.
    • Reports to Administrator on call, all emergency, medical and disciplinary situations that require administrative intervention.
    • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings, attends conferences and in services to keep abreast of new trends in nursing practice.
    • Administer emergency care i.e. CPR, seizures, makes referrals to E.R. as needed.
    • Work with clients to coordinate care with their PCP, psychiatrist and other professionals, including but not limited to medication refills and follow up medical appointments.
    • Reports to the Program Director all issues on the unit.
    • Calls Per Diem staff, part time staff and agencies for unit coverage.
    • Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.


    • Valid and current MA RN or LPN license required.

    • Minimum of 2 years experience working with adults with mental health and substance abuse preferred.

    • Commitment to providing outstanding care required.
    • Bilingual (Spanish/English) oral and written communication skills a plus.

    • Must be able to pass a CORI background check
