    Come join a friendly and diverse clinical team that provides quality care! Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Assistant Program Director in Fitchburg, MA.


    The Fitchburg Counseling Center provides integrated behavioral health and primary care services to adults, and couples age 18 and over. We offer integrated, whole person care with primary care and behavioral health. The Fitchburg Counseling Center also offers specialized treatment for individuals with co-occurring mild developmental disabilities and behavioral health conditions, including a psychiatric day treatment program.

    The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting the Director with the management of the integrated clinic consistent with regulations, contractual expectations, and best clinical practices.

    • Compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, contractual obligations, licensing standards, accreditation standards for which the Counseling Center and programs in the Counseling Center are responsible.
    • Management tasks, including but not limited to, Counseling Center and program oversight in the absence of the Director, incident reporting to required parties, milieu management.
    • Provide direct supervision to staff and interns.
    • Facilitate staff meetings, coordination with other managers in Community Healthlink, participation in Community Healthlink Management Team, participation in Adult Outpatient Managers Team.
    • Provides direct clinical treatment as represented in the caseload through: diagnostic evaluations and screenings, crisis/emergency assessment and intervention, treatment planning, group and individual treatment.
    • Be a leader in diversity and inclusion, primary and behavioral healthcare integration, and continuous quality improvement.
    • Manage staff training.
    • Maintains client records, administrative records, and supervision records consistent with agency and division policy and relative laws, regulations and other standards.    
    • Encourages and supports diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, respect, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.
    • Perform other related job duties.


    • Masters degree required
    • Independent licensure in Massachusetts in a behavioral health discipline (Licensed Psychologist, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT).
    • Must have a minimum of 3 years related experience
    • Knowledge of applicable licensing regulations, accreditation standards, provider specifications for outpatient services, and best practices.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead, work with, supervise, and coach a diverse staff.
    • Clinical expertise with an ability to collaborate effectively and work with other professionals and organizations.
    • Current valid US-issued drivers license and a registered, inspected and insured automobile for work related purposes including travel between work sites (does not include transporting clients)
    • Must be able to pass a CORI background check
