Highland Grace House day program is specifically for girls who seek long-term recovery from their addiction to drugs and/or alcohol.   Highland Grace House is funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and is licensed for 15 girls. Girls must be between 13 and 17 years of age. The placement is voluntary and family involvement is mandatory; the use of addictive medications is prohibited.   Highland Grace House is staffed by a team of professionals that include: A Program Director, an Educational Coordinator, 2 Master's-level Clinicians, an Aftercare Coordinator, and Rehab Counselors. On-site staffing is provided 24-hours per day, 7 days per week by residential counselors.   On-site services include: - Academic instruction. - Group therapy. - Psychoeducational groups, such as substance abuse prevention, relapse prevention skills, health education, and social skills development. Attendance in group is mandatory and is a major part of the recovery process.

The Transitional Support Services, TSS Program, is a new CHL program providing services within the agency’s acute substance abuse services continuum. As a post Detox program, the program is designed to work with men and women on their goals for recovery while preparing them for their next step in treatment. Clients in the program are pursuing, accepted or waiting for further placement and are expected to stay no longer than 90 days. A portion of our clients are referred to the program from section 35 treatment providers. The TSS unit will have a structured day program that provides an environment to engage in recovery and develop recovery tools. Patients participate in psycho-educational groups and receive case management services.

Crisis Stabilization Units (CSU): Community Healthlink’s Crisis Stabilization Units for this position is located in Leominster.   These community-based units provides short-term therapeutic psychiatric/substance abuse treatment in a structured environment with 24-hour observation and supervision and individualized treatment interventions focused on the crisis and crisis resolution.   CSU accepts referrals from UMass Emergency Mental Health Services (EMH), 8 East, PTC, as well as other area inpatient facilities or Emergency Departments with an evaluation and client history completed by a qualified clinician prior to admission.   CSU may be used as a diversion to prevent a hospitalization or as a step-down immediately following a psychiatric hospital discharge to assist the client in transitioning back into the community. The unit receives admissions 24 hours/day, 365 days/year depending on bed availability for clients who do not need hospital level of care and meet the unit’s admission criteria.   The population includes both males and females that are at least 18 years of age.

The RES Recovery Services offers a continuum of services supporting individuals and families recovering from addiction and associated stressors including mental illness, chronic homelessness and HIV/AIDS. We have a family treatment program in Leominster for 12 families recovering from the effects of SUD. In Worcester we have 2 women's recovery homes supporting women in early recovery from SUD as well as Maranda's House which is permanent housing for women living with HIV. Also located in Worcester is the Sagamore Road Program offering treatment for individuals living with addiction and persistent mental illness. Our community housing program offers supports to 64 families in Worcester and South County. All of our programs offer individualized treatment and are relapse responsive.

Community Healthlink's Chelsea Street group home provides eight beds and five apartments where clients live and work towards increasing their independence. This is a model that CHL has found successful with some of its HUD-funded programs and is working with DMH to expand.  The program helps clients increase their independence while maintaining their supportive relationships with staff.

FaithHouse: Faith House is dedicated to helping women and their families recover from addiction to alcohol and/or drugs.  Faith House provides a variety of rehabilitative services in a supportive residential environment. This 6-month program serves more than 20 women who are linked to community resources that help them and their families regain and maintain a stable lifestyle.   Because substance abuse devastates not only the individual, but the family and the community as well, Faith House provides education about addiction, self-esteem, and coping skills. Treatment plans are designed to meet the specific needs of each woman and stress individual empowerment. An interdisciplinary team provides therapeutic services and individual counseling.   Faith House features a pregnancy component for pregnant and post-partum women in recovery.  Faith House also provides services for women who have recently been released from a state correctional facility and who have a substance abuse problem.

MYR - Motivating Youth Recovery: is a 20-bed acute detoxification and stabilization program (up to 30 days) for adolescents 13-17.   The program provides medically monitored detoxification, comprehensive assessment and diagnosis, treatment, and aftercare planning and referral. MYR is a family-centered, strengths-based model that will introduce and engage the adolescent and family members to recovery.   MYR, through its existing connections to community services for adolescents statewide, will develop comprehensive ongoing treatment planning that will provide continued support and treatment for the adolescent and family upon returning to their community.   The program is licensed by The Massachusetts' Department of Public Health, Bureau of Substance Abuse Services.  A master level clinical director, nurses, master level clinicians, case managers and residential counselors staff the program.    The program has 24-hour access to consulting physicians and 2 part-time psychiatrists.

 Safe Havens: This program provides transitional housing and supports for homeless individuals who have a mental illness. Most of these adults also have a substance abuse disorder.   The program is fully funded by the U.S. Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Rehabilitation services are available on site. Thayer Detox is an acute, intensive, inpatient treatment program for men and women 18 and older who suffer from substance use disorders. The program provides individual comprehensive case management services to each client along with at least four treatment groups per day, run by all team members (residential counselors/recovery specialists, case managers, clinicians, nurses).    Detox also has  an EATS Program ( Enhanced Acute Treatment Services) within this level of care that supports individuals also dealing with active sysmptoms of their mental illness. Burncoat Family Center: Community Healthlink’s Youth and Family Services established the Burncoat Family Center in October 1992 as a residential and day treatment program for children with serious emotional issues. The program is located in a residential section of Worcester, Massachusetts.    Since then the Burncoat Family Center has provided a safe, secure, short-term alternative to hospital treatment for children between the ages of 4 - 18 years.  A community based acute treatment program (CBAT), it offers behavioral health services focused treatment and assessment, stabilization, safety and containment, psychiatric consultation and psychopharmacological evaluation in conjunction with a  trauma informed care model. It provides therapeutic client centered treatment services to help facilitate and to encourage successful reintegration, access, and participation in community based services.  The program is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and accommodates 15 resident–youngsters.
